It sounds really interesting and inspiring and I'd love to win a copy! Lucy philothea at live dot co dot uk.

Sounds absolutely wonderful! I'm on such a long waiting list for our library.

I just checked, and my library doesn't have it- so I will happily enter my name! We have to halve our grocery budget even though I already consider us to be quite frugal, so learning how to cook intuitively rather than following recpies is exactly what I need!

One meal I remember having often growing up was simply macaroni with canned tomatoes (and lots of salt and pepper). My mom called it her 'panic meal', as she could make it in about fifteen minutes from pantry staples.

Sound like a wonderful book! My husband cooks this way intuitively--wonderful chicken stock from onion, carrot and celery scraps stashed in the freezer, or tomato sauce and homemade ketchup from tomato leftovers. I am trying to learn this approach to food, but like Jennifer, I am largely a recipe-follower! Thanks for bringing this book to our attention and for the chance to actually win a copy!
