The kids have been working on these little acorn cap people for some time. We saw these kits online but did not want to spend that much on them so we gathered some of our own materials. On our trip to the craft store, we bought some felt, some embroidery floss, a package of little wooden balls and some pipecleaners. We have thousands of acorns at our disposal so the caps were easy to gather. The children have never sewn before so I was quite proud of them that they completed these little folks.
We made these little thistle hedgehogs this morning. Ben found the thistles on a nature hike recently. You'd think they would be really simple to make but they actually took quite a while to trim them just right. I think they are cute!
