...what one item would you bring along?
My hands-down choice is my baby sling. I have had several slings over the years, in a variety of colors and patterns. For a couple of years, I was a sling salesperson. When I saw a woman in the mall, pushing a stroller with shopping bags in it, while carrying her little baby, I gave her one. Friends who had new babies got slings as gifts. (Needless to say, my sling business was not very profitable!)
Newborns, older babies, toddlers, even the occasional preschooler, have ridden in the sling with Mom. A friend of mine plans to make a quilt out of her old slings since they bring her such fond memories. Many thanks to the person that invented this ingenious piece of cloth and two rings. Whoever, wherever you are, I offer my most sincere gratitude.

Yes! I agree. I would be lost without my sling. I, too, just had my 4th child. I need my sling to get through the day!
